Regalito and the Campa Family

The very talented and versatile Campa Family, entertained thousands during their performing career.

The Patriarch of the family Carlos "Regalito" Campa born in Mexico, is well known for his musical comedy act. The other members of the performing family were daughters Elizabeth, Sonya, Deborah and son Juan Carlos Campa. Along with their musical act, the gifted family performed a very fast paced unicycle act as well low wire act.

In Regalito's hilarious musical routine, he played a variety of instruments including bells, bottles, pans and even an upside down xylophone, which he played while standing on his head. Daughters Sonya and Elizabeth accompanied their father on the saxophone.

In April of 1989 tragedy struck the family. Young Juan Carlos was with friends in a park in Sarasota Florida. For unreported reasons a car was deliberately driven into the group, fatally injuring 21 year old Carlos. The driver pleaded guilty to manslaughter, however served only 17 months of the six year sentence.

Regalito is now retired and living in Sarasota. Those lucky enough to have experienced Regalito's comedy act, still chuckle when remembering it.
