Paul Mason Lewis was born January 15, 1892, in New York to parents Samuel Rosenburg (1865 - 1930) and Tillie (Weinburgh) Rosenburg (1865 - 1921).
In 1929 Lewis and his wife Mae purchased a small one ring circus and founded the Lewis Bros Circus . Under the Lewis' ownership the show grew rapidly and operated until 1945.
Paul Lewis died on June 15, 1953 in Ann Arbor Michigan, after a long illness.
Mae Lewis was born in 1905 and passed away in 1958.
Both Paul and Mae are buried at the Temple Beth Israel Cemetery in Jackson, Michigan.
